Описание: The Heights are a hard-rockin' indie four-piece from the small town of Llanberis in Gwynedd, currently making great strides into the public consciousnes through music press and television.
Originally called Gogz in their home area, Ginsberg, Carr and Owen honed a lot of their live craft and studio experience with the band, before moving to London in 2004 and hooking up with Macintyre. This coincided with the start of a relationship with the Best Before label which has served them well.
Their first single, 2005's Long Way Home took them to the attention of the likes of the NME, Kerrang! TV and MTV, who took the band on their country-wide Gonzo tour. Supports with the likes of The Charlatans, The Editors, The Kooks and The Crimea have taken them across the UK, while America has been exposed to their poppy rock at the South By South West festival in Texas in 2006.
Their second single, Jamaica Beer Eyes, was shown in TV highlights of The Full Ponty, blowing away some of the more established names on the bill. An extensive British tour coincided with the release of the single in June 2006.
In June 2007, The Heights released their long-awaited debut album, Toys And Kings was released.
THE HEIGHTS play rocknroll with a hard kick and killer pop tunes, think Led Zep, Husker Du, The Replacements, or even The Strokes with Lemmy singing. Songs with big choruses, strong catchy guitar riffs and a driving beat that leaves you wanting more. And the videos, each one shows a different side to the band from hard party London antics to an edgy black & white NYC voyage. THE HEIGHTS are Owain Ginsberg (Vocals, Guitar), Chris Carr (bass, vocals), Geraint Owen (drums) and Pearse Macintyre (Guitar, vocals).
